Glasgow Chemical Biology Network
OverviewThe biomedical research environment in Glasgow is truly unique in the UK with all molecular and biological sciences present within the city. These are fully integrated with the medical and veterinary sciences across a number of institutions including University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow and The Beatson Institute of Cancer Research. Logistically, these institutions are closely located such that research contacts and student mobility can be conveniently established and maintained.
The Glasgow Chemical Biology Network aims to foster enhanced research interaction throughout the city and provide a platform to facilitate, nurture and establish collaboration at the chemistry biology interface.
The Glasgow Chemical Biology Network was established through the sponsorship of SMSdrug.net a Chemical Biology Network funded by EPSRC, BBSRC and MRC.
Glasgow Chemical Biology Network was founded by Nick Tomkinson, David France, Craig Jamieson, Rob Liskamp, Glenn Burley, Allan Watson, Andy Sutherland and Alistair Boyer. The Network continues to grow and thrive within the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde.
